🎒 International SIM Landing Page

🎒 International SIM Landing Page

Landing Page Design for a UK-Based Travel Tech Brand
UI/UX Design · Figma · 2025

Yelo Mobile (by Protein World) is entering the travel tech space with an exciting new offering: affordable international SIM & eSIM plans tailored for students, digital nomads, and travellers.

The task was to design a bold, one-page landing experience that introduces Yelo’s SIM card product in a fun, modern, and highly scrollable way — in line with Protein World's confident, energetic identity.

🎯 My Role

  • UI/UX Designer (Solo)
  • Creative Direction
  • Content & Copywriting
  • Design System: Untitled UI (with custom brand adaptation)
  • Tools: Figma

🧠 The Challenge

Create a single landing page that:

  • Feels young, bold, and on-brand
  • Explains how the SIM works in a clear, visual way
  • Showcases plans and pricing effectively
  • Builds trust and excitement in under 10 seconds
  • Feels truly made for British students and travellers

🧭 The Process

1. Understanding the Audience

Instead of building from generic personas, I led with real-life energy.
The people using Yelo are travellers, backpackers, students studying abroad, or digital nomads on the move — all with different habits, but the same pain point: roaming costs and poor signal abroad.

I wrote scenario-based microcopy to speak with them, not at them.

✨ The Final Design

“Stay connected. Anywhere. Anytime. The Yelo way.”

🔸 Hero Section

A big, punchy headline paired with minimal copy and a strong Call-to-Action:
Get Your Yelo SIM

  • Option to “Learn more” for low-intent users.

☀️ Colour palette reflects Protein World’s signature yellow, balanced with soft black/white for contrast and approachability.

🔸 Audience Highlights

Rather than explain features with tech jargon, I let stories do the talking:

🧑‍🎓

“From lecture halls to long weekends in Prague.”
Stay connected between lectures & layovers.

🌍

“Your office is a café in Lisbon one day and a beach in Bali the next.”
Zoom, Slack, chill. Wherever.

✈️

“Travel freely. Vibe fully. Save massively.”
Cheap data. No drama. Just how it should be.

🔸 How It Works

A simple 3-step scroll section with friendly, helpful microcopy:

  1. Pick Your Plan
  2. Activate in Minutes
  3. Travel Freely

🧠 Supporting line:

“You don’t need a tech degree. Or a VPN. Just a phone.”

🔸 Pricing Plans

Clear, user-focused plans shown with contrast cards:

🟨 Student Lite

  • 30GB for 30 Days – Europe only
  • £4.99

🟨 Roam All Over

  • 10GB for 30 Days – Global
  • £12.99

Microcopy:

Affordable enough to not ruin your daily meal deal plan.

🔸 Final CTA

“Roam smart. Roam loud. Roam Yelo.”

  • Option to buy SIM, sign up for email updates, or open live chat.
    ✅ Fully mobile-ready.

🎨 Design System

  • Based on Untitled UI but customized
  • Custom typography + spacing scales
  • Mobile-first layout
  • High contrast accessibility support
  • Colour palette from brand visuals + PDF assets

💬 Outcome

Yelo Mobile’s landing page balances tech clarity with youth energy. It shows off the product, invites exploration, and connects instantly with a UK-based student and travel audience — without over-explaining.

This design reflects how I approach product storytelling: clean layout + sharp words + emotional relevance.
